Rolph Scarlett (1889 - 1984) Painter of geometric abstraction during the American avant-garde movement of the 1930s and 1940s, helped found what would become the Guggenheim museum in New York, Woodstock Art Colony. Gouche on paper under matting and framed under glass 'Abstract in Red', Signed lower rlght, has a 'Eric Firestone Gallery' sticker on the back from East Hampton, NY. 13 x 10 (21 x 17 inch with matting). Overall excellent condition
