Johnny 'Hook' Daniels (1954-2009) Florida Highwaymen, Florida Art Hall of Fame Artist. Oil painting 'Backwater Pines' on Upson board. A rare Upson pair painting, unique size and a documented tribute to a painting done in 1962 by A.E. Backus, featured in the expanded version of Olive Dame Peterson's book on the artist (see pictures). An excellent painting, with great subject matter and connection to Highwaymen mentor, Beanie Backus.. Signed lower right. 23x23 inch (27 x 27 inch with frame).
